At the Immigration Advice Service, our team of over 50 professional immigration lawyers are dedicated to providing the best possible service for their clientele. Every immigration matter is unique and personal to the client, and you can be assured our team understand how important getting the desired outcome is for you and your family.
The UK’s immigration system is well-known for its complexity. Hiring a lawyer is never mandatory for making a visa application, but it is often highly recommended. Our OISC-accredited lawyers have decades of experience, and can be matched to your specific needs and the area of immigration law your case relates to.
We work with individuals on all manner of Family Visas, such as Spouse Visas and Unmarried Partner Visas. We also work with people who wish to come to the UK to work or study, with Skilled Worker Visas and Student Visas.
Furthermore, IAS works with businesses and organisations of all sizes to procure their Sponsorship Licenses, to employ overseas talent from outside the EEA. We are always able to undertake publicly-funded work with people claiming asylum in the UK.
IAS can offer a full range of services in all of these areas and many more, with packages tailored to suit you.

Can your North Sheen immigration lawyers assist me with an Indefinite Leave to Remain application?
If you have resided in the UK for at least five years (in most circumstances), you may be eligible to apply for Indefinite Leave to Remain (ILR). At IAS, we understand the long UK immigration process, and that a successful ILR application means so much to our clientele as it allows the holder to live without immigration restrictions. The applicant can live, work and study, access mainstream benefits and have no restrictions on how long they can leave the country.
It is extremely important that your ILR application is completed to the highest possible standard, and the right amount and type of supporting documentation submitted along with it. The main eligibility requirements you need to fulfil are as follows:
- Have been living in the UK lawfully for at least five years (if you have been a holder of the Innovator Visa, Investor Visa or Global Talent Visa, you may apply after three years)
- Have not broken any immigration rules or restrictions during that time
- Have not spent more than 180 days out of the country in any 12 month period
- To pass the Life in the UK test about British culture and values
- To pass a certified English Language Test to the required level of B1
There is a lot of documentation you will also require to prove all of the above as well as your immigration history, passport and travel documents and birth certificate amongst others.
Contact IAS for further information and to enquire about our advice and application services to maximise your ILR application’s chances of success. Call us on 0330 433 1213.
