1: The situation

Samy was from the Democratic Republic of Congo. He had been invited to study in the UK at a University.

He was worried about leaving his wife and two daughters behind whilst studying, as he was not sure that he would be able to afford to return home until his course was over.

With the help of his university, he was given IAS’s details and arranged a consultation with one of our lawyers.

2: How IAS helped

One of our lawyers in Bradford spoke with Samy and stated that, in addition to being able to help him secure a Tier 4 Student Visa, we could also arrange for his family to come over as dependents.

This would allow his family to remain with him as he studied, and would even allow his wife to work while in the UK.

3: The outcome

Samy made no delay in making his application. With our help he quickly secured entry for himself and his family.

It is his intention to speak with us again once he finds an employer in the UK to switch over to a Work Visa.
