Marie Nguekam is an experienced and highly accomplished Immigration Casework Supervisor in the UK Immigration team at IAS. Marie specialises in complex immigration cases, asylum claims, and the defence of vulnerable individuals.
Marie joined IAS as an Immigration Supervisor in 2020 after nearly a decade of practising Law. In 2023, she became a chartered legal executive and member of CILEx. She progressed from a caseworker to a supervisor within two years at IAS, earning IAA qualifications from Level 1 to 3. Marie was recently admitted to the Roll of Solicitors of England and Wales, which recognised her as a qualified solicitor.
Marie’s career in immigration followed internships at the Citizens Advice Bureau and Coventry City Council. She began as a paralegal at the Coventry Refugee and Migrant Centre in 2015, where she developed a passion for immigration law. Roles as an Immigration Paralegal and Immigration Caseworker followed before she joined IAS in 2020.
