I cannot recommend Manaseia and IAS highly enough for their exceptional support throughout our UK visa application process.
Our family of four applied for UK visitor visas, and unfortunately, our case experienced significant delays, which made the entire process extremely stressful and uncertain. From the very beginning,Manaseia was incredibly professional, supportive, responsive, and reassuring. She took the time to explain the process clearly, kept us informed, and was always available to answer our questions and address our concerns.
What stood out most was how genuinely committed Manaseia was to helping us. When our application was delayed beyond the expected timeframe, she did not simply leave us waiting. She took action, followed up appropriately, and even submitted an official complaint to the Home Office requesting that our applications be reviewed as a matter of urgency. Her proactive approach gave us reassurance during what was a very anxious period.

Mark Rigby’s advice was really helpful, not what I wanted to hear, but I followed his advice and received my first uk pasport within two weeks and was free to travel. I received uk citizenship as a eu national with eu settlement status. Upon the completion of the ceremony the registrar informed me that I would no longer be able to travel back into the uk. This was news to me! I thought eu settled status linked to your eu pasport gave us freedom to apply for a British pasport in our own time. Since 25th February 2026 this is no longer the case because eu settlement is considered as an eu visa for the uk. The home office information documents aresuper unclear about this and AI told me that I did not need to worry. I decided used to book a consult with an immigration lawyer suggested by the office ( who by the way were not able nor allowed to give me any information) at the cost of £150. The legal advice was clear and I decided to apply for my pasport immediately and luckily the pasport arrived within two weeks and I was able to join my family on holiday within risking not being able to come back home.

After having a horrible service with another firm of solicitors, we turned to IAS for assistance in 2020 to right the wrongs the previous firm did. We had a great experience and were successful in our application under the EU Settlement Scheme for a pre-settled status.

After the first experience, we returned in 2026 to IAS for assistance with obtaining a settled status / indefinite leave under the EU Settlement Scheme. We obtained a few quotes from other firms and IAS was the most reasonably priced considering the amount of work that needed to be carried out.

We were assigned a new caseworker, Han Wei. Han worked really hard in achieving another successful application for us and we, as a family, are really grateful for her help!

Han kept us fully informed, managed our expectations and gave us realistic timescales for each step of the procedure.

She was very knowledgeable, empathetic and patient throughout the process. We had a lot of questions and concerns because at the time, the government just announced some anticipated changes to the law that might have impacted our application. We were also concerned about the discussions from opposing government parties about the changes they wanted to bring in the future.

Han always took the time to ease our concerns and provide us with information about whether the changes were likely to impact us during the application and after. She was always very approachable.

The process was always going to be stressful due to the high stakes involved but Han reassured us and always kept us updated throughout the process and put us at ease.

Given our smooth journey for both applications, we would definitely recommend!

I contacted IAS from the United States to apply for UK citizenship by descent. II was uncertain whether I wanted to pay for help or do it myself online, a process I had already begun. IAS replied quickly and I had a video conference with an employee who asked me questions about the basis for my application and outlined the process to attaining citizenship. I learned that I had started the process incorrectly through the wrong UK government portal, and I agreed to go ahead with IAS.

I was assigned a paralegal named Manaseia who led me through each step of the application. There's quite a bit that you need to do yourself, but I was able to proceed with confidence. Manaseia was very clear and helpful guiding me through each step and I was approved in about four months time, which includes time I spent gathering the right information and getting responses from my referees.

I give Manaseia five stars for her clarity, friendly nature and helpfulness. Originally, they did send me a weblink to set an appointment that did not work, which was a disconcerting beginning, and you should be prepared for some reasonable delay in replies to emails. However, once I understood their system and started working with Manaseia, I gained confidence in the process.

I was very disappointed with the consultation I received. I am planning to pursue a Global talent visa and the caseworker I met with seemed to barely know anything about it. She was looking information up during the call and giving me no new information or insight into the process - nothing beyond the basics available on the government website. I'm a dual citizen and was stuck abroad with an expired UK passport when the rules changed and re entry into the UK required a valid passport, and non UK passports were no longer accepted for entry.
I came across IAS during an online search for guidance. The UK government website proved useless, as did the chat facility.

He made me feel very small and stupid for asking questions (such as "what paperwork counts as proving I've been in the country"), implied that my financial situation would be a hindrance to my future (finances are totally irrelevant to the application I was asking about, and I don't know why he would assume my bank accounts were empty to begin with). I walked away feeling very demoralized and demeaned. When I got a second opinion, it turned out that his advice was overblown and that my situation is not all as dire as he made it out to be. I don't know if this was an upselling tactic to have them "fix" things for me for further fees, but the emotional rollercoaster he sent me on was significant — and this during a difficult time filled with immigration, divorce, and other bureaucratic difficulties. When I received the written advice, I also found it included typos and generally felt quite slapdash. All in all, I hope things improve at IAS as it's a much needed service and I was happy to find something for a lower price than other lawyers (though I didn't have a full-hour phone call I paid for, we spoke only for 30 minutes). However, I'd advise those who choose to work with Mr. Rigby to have a thick skin. I wouldn't wish the experience I had with him on anyone else going through a hard time.

Just wanted to drop a review expressing my satisfaction for service received from Immigration Advice Service (IAS) law firm. I was seeking a UK passport that I never had obtained prior as a result of birth in the UK many decades ago.

From my initial outreach to the firm addressing my query of whether I was indeed a citizen and/or eligible for a passport, the staff was punctual and courteous in replying to me.

My assigned caseworker, Kurshida Begum, was very easy to communicate with. The requests she made of me for documentation, questionnaires IAS requests, and the status of my uk passport application was fantastic.

Throughout the process from chatting with a lawyer screening my case to Kurshida’s closing of the case when my UK passport was sent abroad to me and the supporting documentation was returned to me by HM Passport office was top notch.

I have been supporting a mum with a child with a disability and I needed to obtain legal advice for her. I approached IAS and initially spoke to Abigail Solomon who fully understood my service user's predicament. She was kind and understanding and she allocated the most wonderful caseworker to my service user, called Kim. My service user has not stopped singing Kim's praises. She reports that Kim is kind, compassionate and patient and whilst having appointments she has had to attend to her child, Kim insists she does so and waits patiently for her to finish. She was very anxious about accessing legal advice as she has no one to look after her child and she can 'play up' when mum is busy with something. She was worried about how meetings with Kim would go due to the child's behaviours but Kim has just been so understanding which has totally put mum at ease. The staff and solicitors are very friendly, and take time to discuss the matter with you. However, once engaged, all the work is done a by a junior caseworker , at her discretion, if she wants to take further assistance from their solicitors or not.
I recently had a very disappointing experience after paying them £1700 , and found at the end that the application was submitted to the Home office, with no supervision from a senior solicitor , and having the complexity of 2 previous rejections, this application was again refused on flimsy causes cited by the Home office, most of which could have been well clarified in the application itself before the submission- unfortunately my application was never checked or supervised by a solicitor, and all the practical work was done by a junior caseworker. No wonder the junior caseworker did not have enough knowledge to apprehend these refusal clauses beforehand.

The service is cheaper than other solicitors, but I would not recommend IAS for complex matters, especially where there have been previous refusals from the Home office, unless IAS changes its working pattern, and make solicitors responsible for all the work.

I did not pay £1700 for the work to be done by a junior caseworker who did not have enough knowledge to foresee the problematic areas, and thus to improve the strength of the application before the submission.

This has not only caused us a huge disappointment, but has also affected my friend's passport credibility for ever.

Our lawyer Manaseia was absolutely lovely. She was extremely supportive and available on call whenever we required.

I had applied for dependent visa for my partner and although our case was a bit tricky as we didn’t reside in the same property due to cultural and religious beliefs, our lawyer built a strong case for us. She suggested what documents to provide and also helped us in our SOP.

Overall, it was a sound process and since we opted for full service, all I had to do was procure documents and everything else was done by my lawyer.

We have used IAS services for a partner VISA. I must say it was a rollercoaster. Our advisor Manaseia was really kind and definitely a person who knows how to talk to people and gain their trust. She was incredible to talk with, answered every question we had but sometimes it took her quite a long time to get back to us. Since my whole life depended on it, it felt a bit bad. I understand she and other advisors must have a lot of work but the automated email responses are just not enough, i would even appreciate a quick and simple 'thanks for the query i am looking through it right now' or 'i will let you know by tomorrow' or 'this might take me a while to sort out'
Though after each delay they would answer every question we had fully and if we emailed the day they got back to us they would respond on that day letting us know what we needed, if the paper work was correct. and what we would we need next to get moving onwards with the application.
In conclusion, There is a big chance we will return to IAS for my VISA extension because of the profesionalism, friendly manner and the fact my VISA got approved.

I have used IAS twice now. First for my Skilled Worker visa extension with Deepak B. and most recently for my ILR application with Mariam A. I can say that both have been outstanding support in both cases and have been very professional from the start. The advice given regarding the best paths forward and the documents required were all spot on. So once all the documents were uploaded, there was no more back and forth, and we could go ahead with the applications. Both applications also went successfully in quick fashion. After having a really bad experience with a different law firm who mislead us with the complete wrong information leading us to get a rejected visa, finding IAS was my light under a very dark tunnel. THANKS TO ABDUL MUTEE my husbands spouse visa wad approved and he is now here in the UK with his family. I found them though research and reading the successful reviews they were my last hope to help my husband come to the UK on a spouse visa. From my first initial 1 hour consultation with Charleene she listened to our situation and advised us on the best plan and said that she was positive that we will get a positive result. We was then appointed to Mr Abdul Mutee who from the first moment of meeting right to the very end of the application process and even after was very helpful and supportive with our situation. He answered all my questions promptly when i emailed him and even agreed to have weekly catch up video chats when we were close to applying so that we could double check that every piece of evidence we provided was correct and if anything was missing. He checked through all my documents and told me if i needed to add anything else to make my case stronger. Abdul gives great advise and guidance and answers any question you need even if you think its something silly. He was very understanding that i was very nervous after our last failed experience. I couldnt thank Abdul and the IAS team enough. After loosing hope they gained back my trust. If you go with any company go with IAS they make a plan and a personalised check list and support you every step of the way. I was very disappointed with their service. They seemed very promising: returning my call immediately and seemingly very attentive at first - then, after payment, the emails and correspondences were rushed, often incomplete, wrong details entered (and hence needing to triple check everything myself), not adequately responding to my questions, but more importantly not addressing key issues adequately to prepare for a strong case. I believe we seek immigration advice wanting clarification and guidance, but the advice given was not adequate for my case, eventuating in a visa refusal. I sought out guidance from my caseworker to obtain a simple answer to the question of: what shall i do next? - however i have been met with no response and silence from their part.

I booked a 1-hour session with IAS for myself and my girlfriend, as we weren't 100% certain on how to approach what we had to do with regards to applying for the partner/spouse visa.

We had our meeting with Shauntae Campbell, and she was able to explain the best thing we can do for our situation, as well as what to say and use in terms of evidence for the application to hopefully allow us to continue as we are for now.

I only had some idea of what we had to obtain for our circumstances, but after speaking to Shauntae, we're now aware of a lot more things we can use as proof for our relationship when it comes time to apply. Upon completion, we received a PDF document that also detailed what we needed to do going forward, so we didn't have to focus much on taking notes.

They are truly some of the most compassionate and understanding people one could hope to work with during the stressful and uncertain process of dealing with visa issues.

My caseworker, Han has been absolutely fantastic. She took the time to listen to me with empathy and guided me through the process of gathering my supporting documents. I was referred to Immigration Advice Service seeking information for possible UK citizenship. I was assigned to Mark Rigby who guided me through the process of searching for a path for UK citizenship. With Mark's guidance I was able to do my own research on my maternal grandfather who was born in England, to further learn if he ever became naturalized and when. Unfortunately I learned my maternal grandfather became a citizen before my mother was 18 years old which disqualified me a path to UK citizenship.

Just wish I’d spoke to this wonderful lady before submitting a Spouse visa application, had I done so Im confident I would be in the UK with my wife.
However due to misunderstandings completing the application forms myself Im in the UK and my wife is stuck in Thailand.
We will now reapply using the services of Shauntae Campbell of IAS knowing we are getting the best advice and at a very reasonable price cost .

Advice from Shazia Ershad: 22/04/25

I had been trying to find some concrete information regarding my son's eligibility for a Certificate of Entitlement to remain in Britain once he gives up his UK Passport. He has dual citizenship and will be required to renounce one of the passports once he turns 21. However, information I had researched on the UK GOV websites seemed to me to be somewhat opaque.

Shazia began the session with a thorough investigation of our circumstances, wishes and goals. She proceeded to lay out the various options and was happy to suggest pathways for us to consider.

She was personable and receptive. She listened accurately and managed a very balanced discussion within which we had agency. At the conclusion of the meeting, we had a clear idea of the choices we feel we will make. It was a very worthwhile session and worth every penny. It was an wonderful journey with IAS Solicitor Mr. Irfan Waheed. He helped me to get Right of Abode for my baby. It was a bit complicated case, because baby was born in Tehran, Iran through IVF. It is not easy to communicate with Iran and get all documents right. Mr. Irfan was very patient and caring, he helped me to get all the documents right.
