There are many immigration lawyers in London, and it can often be difficult to know which ones are good immigration solicitors and which aren’t.
To legally offer immigration advice in London, or the UK, you must be a trained solicitor or OISC accredited.
All our immigration advisers are OISC-qualified, to either Level 1, Level 2 or Level 3. This means they have an in-depth understanding of immigration, family, settlement and asylum law. They can offer advice, application support or appeal representation, and many of our lawyers have represented clients in complex country-law cases.
Our lawyers have a vast experience in all areas of immigration law, making them the best immigration lawyers London has to offer — as proven by our London office client reviews.
All our lawyers are experienced in different areas of law, making them specialists in that particular area. Some practice in family law while others are more experienced in making applications for British citizenship. IAS also has London-based immigration lawyers who are especially experienced in corporate immigration law and have assisted various high-profile businesses and employers to recruit foreign talent and apply for sponsor licences.
As part of our unique services, you will be paired with an expert lawyer who suits your specific type of enquiry or need. This puts you in the best possible position for a successful result.
Yes — our advice, application and appeal packages have fixed fees which are calculated based on your type of enquiry. They are not subject to change once they have been quoted to you; there are no hidden costs or fees with IAS. When you make an enquiry with us, either by calling our office or filling out our contact form, one of our experts who review your case and quote you accordingly. Your fee will be based on several different factors and will take into account the complexity of your case and the resources it is likely to take up.
Based on your enquiry, you will either receive a quote for an advice package — this is an untimed one-off session with one of our lawyers. You may also receive a fixed-fee quote for our tailored application service. However, in most cases, this will be assessed by your personal lawyer after your advice session. In this scenario, once the lawyer has assessed your case after speaking with you, they will send you a quote for an application service. If you choose to proceed with the service, this quote will not change, your lawyer will honour it throughout the duration of the service.
We have legal aid immigration lawyers all around London, including North and East London.
Our legal aid services cover a variety of clients, including those claiming asylum or making an asylum appeal. Our London lawyers also provide free advice and application support for victims of domestic abuse and human trafficking. This is funded by legal aid.
These services use the same structure as our advice and application packages, so you will receive full and free legal support from one of our immigration specialists if you qualify for legal support.
We were an immigration advice charity until 2011, so we are passionate about continuing to provide high-quality services for vulnerable people in London and the rest of the UK.
If you are an asylum-seeker or vulnerable person who qualifies for legal aid, you can drop into our London Bridge or Hounslow office. Please bring with you any documents you have which show that you have made a claim for asylum, legal help or had correspondence with the Home Office/UKVI.
