After publishing a post about our client Dr Ong, a Singaporean doctor facing deportation after not qualifying for Indefinite Leave to Remain by one day, we are happy to provide an update on the situation.
Earlier this week, the Home Office indicated to us that they had withdrawn their challenge to Dr Ong’s successful appeal and that they were reconsidering his application.
We have now received formal notification that Dr Ong has been granted Indefinite Leave to Remain.
This means that he will be able to return to his GP training and will soon be qualified.
We wish him all the best for his future in the UK.
